"I contacted Darren on the recommendation of my painter to repair my front porch and back deck which had rotting sections. I had just moved to the area the house I bought needed some TLC.
Darren’s bid was neither the highest nor the lowest I got, and the recommendation from the painter was enthusiastic. So, I hired him. Not only did he fix the problems, he went over his plans with me in detail, outlining what was sound about the areas and what really needed to be replaced. (One bid wanted to take the porch out totally and start over from the ground up. Turned out the framing under the porch was sound and didn’t need to be replaced.) He discussed the benefits of Trex vs wood; he redesigned the steps to the porch and added a much needed railing.
I was totally satisfied with both the quality of his work as well as his skills. Plus, he’s a really nice guy! He cleaned up each day when he was finished and gave me a progress report. He finished when he said he would and the porch looks awesome. All the neighbors have commented on how nice the house is now.
I would absolutely recommend Darren for any project - large or small. In fact, he’s going to remodel my master bath next. He rates an A++."
